NORTEC 2016 – A complete success for bedea

The NORTEC, as industry and production-fair for Northern Germany, takes place in a two-year cycle in the exhibition halls Hamburg. About 450 exhibitors presented their products and solutions in the halls A1, A3 and A4, this is a new exhibitor record for the NORTEC-fair. The number of visitors remained with about 12,000 visitors on the level of the last fair in 2014.

The exhibitors could present their innovative products and technologies in the fields of 3D-Print, Additive Production, Automation and Industry 4.0. Accompanying the exhibition itself there have been topic-oriented presentations in the NORTEC-forum. The NORTEC forum was positioned in hall A3 close to the bedea booth.

Also in this year bedea could use the NORTEC for high quality discussions. In particular, the bedea special cables for marine and underwater applications found great interest in the hanseatic city. But also inquiries for other custom types of cable could be noted.

Conflict materials (conflict minerals)

Conflict minerals are Tantal, Tin, Tungsten and Gold if they are of origin of the Democratic Republic Congo or their neighbour states. Returns from the sales of these substances may be used to finance armed conflicts in this region and partially mining and distribution are controlled by military and paramilitary groups which are violating human rights. Restrictions are intended to limit the named financing opportunities und keep manufacturers from using conflict minerals. Nevertheless the use is not prohibited.

By the American „Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act“ dated Jan. 2010 certain US companies listed in the stock exchanges are obliged to extensive disclosure and reporting of the use of these materials over the complete supply chain from trade and processing to mining.

Due to the international trade relations we – as processor of tin and gold bearing metals – are concerned by enquiries and therefore we have prepared a standardized questionnaire for download here.

SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg 2015

SPS IPC Drives is the exhibition for electric automation technology. It covered all components down to complete systems and integrated automation solutions. With more than 64,000 visitors SPS IPC Drives 2015 reached new records.

This year, 1,666 exhibitors presented themselves on the probably most important event of the year, dealing with topics all about automation. The trade fair was the ideal platform for comprehensive information on products, innovations and current trends within the electric automation industry.

bedea also uses repeatedly this fair in order to present its special cables for particular purposes. Thanks to a finely stranded configuration, a thick braid and a oil-resistent coat, these wires are flexible and immune to radiation and can be used in electronic and mechanical engineering.

For the first time, SPS IPC Drives2015 offered/ presented an "Industrie 4.0 Area" in hall 3- a joint stand and forum where interested visitors could inform themselves about networked and digitized products. Of course, also bedea is successfully concentrating already on IT based automation solutions.

bedea’s successful attendance at the productronica 2015

On its 40th anniversary, productronica featured plenty of innovations including augmented reality, robotics in electronics manufacturing and the productronica innovation award. Some 38,000 visitors from nearly 80 countries took part in the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Electronics Development and Production. The share of visitors from Asia and Eastern Europe was up considerably.

bedea takes again sucessfully advantage of using its presence at the fair to approach potential buyers and to exchange experiences about the current market situation with already existing business partners, discussing options for future cooperations.

Requests for quotation occur primarily from Eastern European countries. Thanks to its innovative capacity and its enormous flexibility, bedea is able to fully respond to customised solutions and realise them rapidly.

Retrospectively, bedea’s attendance at this year‘s fair was very successful.

bedea presents itself at the W3+ in Wetzlar

bedea has been successfully exhibiting at the "W3+" fair for optics, electronics an mechanics at Wetzlar, Germany. The complete productrange was presented by the slogan "In the beginning was the wire". Visitors learnt, that "the wire" has changed to HighTech products within the 125 years of the
company's history. Special cables are the main performer; plastic monofilaments for paper machine clothings, mini wire ropes for medical and automotive apllications, tools for wire conversion, fiberoptical lighting systems and emc testing equipment belong to the manufacturing portfolio as

For job searching visitors the head of our personnel management, Sylvia Herrmann, was also present.

Our CoMeT emc testing equipment is being further developed continously and supplemented with useful components. The emv fair in Stuttgart, Germany - as a highly specialized fair for emc - offers us a good platform the show these systems to a wide audience of specialists and users from science and

Once again we have been exhibiting successfully at this fair. As a highlight we could present a balun/docking field for testing of balanced data cables (F/STP, S/STP, SF/UTP, F/UTP und U/UTP nx2xAWGxx). It takes the job of rf encapsuled convertion of the coaxial 50 ohms out- and inputs of the vector network analyzer towards the balanced 100 ohms of the data pairs of the cable.

bedea took the chance again to participate in the 25th jubilee fair to exhibit new and almost known  products in the fields of sensorics, automation, measuring/controlling and data transmission.

SPS 14 1

One of the highlights was a newly developed micro data cable. This slim S/FTP 4x2x0,1 mm (only 2,8 mm diam.) has an impedance of 100 ohms and has been constructed according to customers demands for a reaserch project. The extreme grade of miniaturization is shown very clearly while being compared to a biro.

SPS 14 2

The wafer-thin conductors are insulated with a halogen free polyolefine to 0,3 mm and even the overall jacket was made of a halogen free and flame retardant compound. Wrapped shielding foils provide a data transmission free from ingress and minimize crosstalk.

You have a similar application  or are in need of special microcable? Please use our contact page for your inquiry. We will guide you with the choice of a suitable product.

High-grade visitors at bedea

The MUTEC - International Trade Fair for Museum and Exhibition Technology - is held in a two year regular cycle  together with the denkmal (European Trade fair for Conservation, Restoration and Old Building Renovation) at Leipzig.

This year bedea has been visited by an international delegation of museum experts within the official fair tour. The participients were willing to listen to the advantages of the modular bedea akzent fiberoptical and LED lighting systems for museal applications.

Mutec 14 1-1

The head of the sales department, Erwin Herpel explained the special features of fiberoptical lighting:

A central light source, e.g. a modern long-life LED projector with low energy consumption ist generating the light. The transmission is done by fiberoptical, which may vary in number, length and diameter and are manufactured according to the customers rules pre assembled for "plug'n'play" use. At the end of the cables special beamer elements of different shape provide the light throw on the exhibits or in the showcase. Light free of heat predestine this technology especially for the use in closed showcases without circulation of the air. UV free light ensures the maximum protection of light sensitive exhibits like valuable books or paintings.

Mutec 14 3-1

Contrary to other systems the bedea akzent beamers are designed for customer's choice of the lighting media between fiberoptics or LED. This doesn't cause any modification of the beamer. The miniature beamers of the "Vitro" series can be combined with each other anyway and enable a esthetic appealing illumination of the exhibits by their sophisticated design.
